Private races, voice chat planned for GT5 Prologue

SCEA producer, Takau Imasaki, has confirmed that Gran Turismo 5 Prologue’s online mode will see updates in the future that’ll add in-game voice chat and private race options to the package. Although the game will allow for 16 players to race against each other when it launches in Europe on PSN on March 27, the online gameplay set-up options are thin on the ground.
You can only join Sony-created servers with pre-set scenarios - you can’t set any gameplay options for yourself. But Imasaki promises that more options will be available - just not in time for launch.
“Private races with buddies and in-game chat are all in the works… but will not be ready from day one,” Imasaki told posters on the official PlayStation blog. “Will keep you posted on the progress!” he added.
And so the package that more cynical critics call “just a demo” gets even larger.
